Job Title: Composites Laminator
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Location: Armstrong Group – Bayton Road, Coventry
Role Purpose:
Laminating Tooling and Components for multiple customers within the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industry. Reading and understanding instructions from a manual or an engineering drawing whilst achieving company objectives.
Main Duties:
• Laminating Tooling and components.
• The seal and release of patterns and moulds.
• The vacuum bagging of Tooling and components.
• The loading of Ovens and autoclaves.
• Template manufacture and kit cutting of components.
• To achieve delivery targets of our customers while ensuring quality is not compromised.
• Support the continuing 5S and LEAN Manufacturing activities.
Requirements/Skills:
• Good Team worker
• Logical reasoning with a “can-do attitude”
• Good organisational skills.
• Interpreting engineer drawings.
• Follow laminating manuals.
• To work with minimal supervision.
• At least two years’ experience within the composite industry as a laminator.
• Basic knowledge of the make-up of race cars and road cars.
• Autoclave operation.
Job Title: CNC Programmer
Responsible to: CNC Manager
Location: Armstrong Group – Bayton Road, Coventry
Role Purpose: Responsible for the day-to-day programming/setting/operating of the CNC machines (Bretons) and Kuka Robots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming of CNC machines and Kuka Robots.
- Ensuring daily targets are fulfilled.
- Implementing Lean Management, supporting 5S and TPMs.
- Adjusting of machine cutting paths or settings to optimise production while maintaining quality.
- Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines/robots as they arise.
- Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and TPMs.
- Train new employees on how to properly operate/set CNC machines/Robots.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and design models.
Essential Skills:
- Must have experience and a good working knowledge of Power Mill.
- Experience and knowledge of Openmind Hypermill Software.
- Vericut experience desirable.
- Knowledge of composites and how composite components are manufactured.
- Basic knowledge of the make-up of race cars and road cars.
- Basic knowledge of stock control.
- A minimum of 2 years working within the F1/Motorsport/Automotive industry.
- Fanuc 3 & 5 axis control systems for programming and operating.
- 3-axis Fusion 360 CAM software, programming and operating.
- Powermill CAM software, programming and operating.
- Good team worker and ‘can-do attitude’.
- Good organisational and communications skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, and on multiple concurrent projects.
- To be proficient in Microsoft 365.

Job Title: Bill Of Materials Engineer
Responsible to: Group Financial Controller
Location: ADV Brightware Manufacturing – Bayton Road, Coventry
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update and maintain Bills of Materials for various products.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy.
- Ensure BOMS are complete with all necessary components and materials listed
- Manage BOM changes and updates through an established change control process.
- Work with suppliers to verify components availability and specifications.
- Analyse BOM data to identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Ensure BOMs comply with industry standards and company policies.
- Train team members on BOM process and best practices.
- To raise and process purchase orders (Sage/WAP)
- To work closely with the Goods In team to ensure all inbound stock is received accurately and on time.
- Checking and validating MRP system data such as LTs, MOQs and costs.
- NPI – working alongside the project team to support the transition of new work into operations.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in BOM management or related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and BOM management software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
