Job Title: Quality Systems & NPI Engineer

Responsible to: Quality Systems Manager

Location: Armstrong Group – Bayton Road, Coventry

Role Purpose: To support Armstrong Group in delivering quality milestones regarding the BMS, core documents and maintaining ISO9001 / IATF 16949 accreditations.

Main Duties:

• Development and management of the quality systems and processes (IATF16949, ISO9001, AS9100 Rev D).
• Conducting site audits in line with ISO9001, IATF16949 andAS9100 Rev D standards.
• Evaluate and review existing business processes and support the introduction or business process improvements.
• Lead and develop BMS (business management system).
• Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development / improvement of core documents or changes related to current products in meeting BMS and external accreditations
• Create FMEA’s, Control Plans and internal documentation
• Communicating directly with Customers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Direct interface between external customer and internal engineering/projects and production, as and when required.
• Supporting Metrology
• Ensuring Quality milestones are achieved

Requirements/Skills

• Proven background of Quality knowledge combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change, with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to new circumstances;
• Ability to plan and manage objectives and priorities
• Ability to read Engineering Drawings.
• Demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving while offering original and practical solutions that challenge fixed ideas; in depth knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques;
• Proven background in maintaining ISO9001/ IATF16949/ AS9100 Rev D accreditations.
• Core Tools FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP, Etc., Ability to work to deadlines in a demanding environment
• Qualifications: HNC Qualification in manufacturing or engineering/equivalent experience
• Desirable: IATF16949 / ISO9001/ AS9100 Rev D: Lead auditor or internal auditor trained
• Measurement using Polyworks or Geomagic Software.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Responsible to: Project Manager

Location: Armstrong Group – Bayton Road, Coventry

Main Duties:

• Coordinate all project elements including planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases ensuring that it is managed within budget and tracked against project timing plan.
• Work closely with the Customer to allow you to react quickly and track any changes, while being present at customer driven meetings to provide reports/project progress in line with APQP requirements / Customer requirements.
• Manage Customer and internal Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes
• Define the customer specification into either a departmental action or sub-supplier order and manage the project requirements and resources (including sourcing sub-contract elements) around these while tracking progress through and being able to present updates where required.
• Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary
• Effectively analyse customer and internal changes, including feasibility study
• Apply specific technical skills as required to support customer or colleagues and assist design verification and sign off reporting.
• Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions and performing root cause analysis to resolve problems.
• Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), quality history reviews, robustness studies, etc.
• Provide Lesson Learnt feedback at the business handover meeting.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master of Science in Engineering, other related discipline required or
