This week would like to reintroduce you to Aarondeep Bhamra. Aaron joined us at Armstrong Group in January 2025 as a Sheet Metal Work Apprentice and is working towards his Level 3 Metal Fabricator (STO607) qualifications. Since day one, he’s shown an incredible attitude towards learning, growing, and getting stuck in!
Over the past 9 months, Aaron has steadily built up his skills and confidence. Seen here is a photo of a part that Aaron has developed from a blank sheet of metal, with support from the SMW and welding teams, he is learning directly from our highly skilled craftsmen, who are all proud to see the progress he’s making🙌
From measuring, cutting and bending, to mastering machines such as the guillotine, shrinker, bandsaw and more – Aaron is quickly becoming a vital part of our Sheet Metal working team. He has recently taken on hammer forming – a true art in the world of sheet metal, requiring patience, precision, and a good swing of the mallet! 🛠️💪
All of this hands-on learning has been done while working on live production parts for a key customer – a huge responsibility that Aaron has handled with maturity and focus.
He’s polite, proactive and always ready to take on any task. Next up, he’ll be shadowing the team to better understand technical drawings, paving the way for more independence in complex fabrication and installation tasks.
